Meet the owner

Shalane Brouchet-Gilliam is the CEO and Founder of Dates By Design, which she established in 2012. This unique and creative idea of creating date nights for couples was inspired by her love of romance, seeing couples bond, and giving advice to men who needed assistance in wooing their love interest.

 

Shalane studied Interior Design at Mission College and interned at La Crescenta Furniture Design Store. During her studies and hands on training, she took on clients for Interior Design projects as well as event decorating. Catering to this clientele introduced her to floral arranging, and event planning and coordinating. 

 

All of her experiences in curating various events like birthday parties, weddings, church events, fashion shows and community gatherings have contributed to her knowledge and skillfulness in event coordinating. Dates By Design provides a host of services, products and, memories for every person they touch.
